As is distressingly so often the case, I did not know Carole in high school other than to say 'hi' in the hallways. After high school, we spoke at reunions only briefly. Still, even only in such infrequent and short interactions as these, Carole's positive, uplifting, cheerful demeanor made a lasting impression. Our class has lost another member who helped create our consensus opinion that as a group, we had a very good class. May Carole rest in peace and her family take comfort in the quality life she led. I apologize, I don't think I knew Carole. But I do know that nurses have a very special place on earth and in heaven. The sacrifices they make are monumental, and may often get lost in the "Job."
I hold the deepest respect and gratitude for our nurses. Thank you, Carole, for all the love and compassion you shared, for all those long hours on your feet, and all the unspoken moments of love that you gifted a person in need. Condolences to family and friends.
