Emily Jean (Latek) Linzey

Obituary Posted Oct 26, 2012 

 

Emily Jean (Latek) Linzey, age 69, died unexpectedly, in her home, on October 24, 2012, in Big Beaver Borough.

Born February 4, 1943, the only child of the late Ethel (Roy) Lindeman and the late Walter Latek, she was a 1961 graduate of Beaver Falls High School and the Rochester Hospital School of Nursing.

She enjoyed many years on the small family farm with her family, variety of animals, and garden. She was a member of The Church at the Crossroads Methodist Church in Big Beaver. She had worked in nursing homes and schools throughout her life, as well as being involved with her children and grandchildren, being an active member of the community, and a member of the American Legion and Big Beaver Volunteer Firemen Auxiliaries.

Always loving and devoted, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. Linzey, on June 7, 2011.

Ever cherished, she leaves behind her children, Karen (Linzey) Travers, New Brighton; Emily (Linzey) Rose, Big Beaver; Matthew Linzey, Wooster, OH, and Keith Linzey, Harrisburg, PA.

A wonderful and kind grandmother, she will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, John Travers, Big Beaver, and Krystal Travers, Gary Rose, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, Todd, Jeffrey, Laura and Julia Rose, Big Beaver.
