Tony Jackson

 Charles Anthony (Tony ) Jackson

It is with sadness that we inform you of the death of our classmate and friend, Charles Anthony (Tony) Jackson.

Tony Jackson, 78, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 21, 2022. He was born on Thursday, December 16, 1943, in Beaver Falls, Pa.

He is a 1961 graduate of Beaver Falls High School and a 1965 graduate of Westminster College. Tony served in the U.S. Navy.

Tony was a very warm, friendly, and caring person who lit up a room and made friends easily. He was a mentor and friend to many during his lifetime. Tony spent many years in Washington D. C. where he worked for the U.S. Government and the Credentials Office of the Democratic National Committee.

In 2015, Tony moved back to Beaver Falls, Pa. to be closer to his family. After he returned, he helped organize a small group of residents who had an interest in revitalizing Beaver Falls. This group solicited the thoughts and ideas of its members and other Beaver Falls residents/This feedback was used to launch several community projects and initiatives. This group became the Beaver Falls Community Development Corporation( BFCDC). A Board of Directors was created and Tony served as its president. The corporation set several important goals to improve the Beaver Falls community that it worked to achieve.

Plans for a celebration of Tony's life will be announced at a later date.

Rest in peace, dear friend.

I almost don't want to read my emails when it seems so often there is a notice of another class mate passing away.  Tony was awesome in High School and he came to one of the class reunions where I talked to him about his time in Washington D.C.  I'm sure he was a gift to Beaver Falls when he moved back in 2015.  Rest in Peace Tony.

No! Tony Jackson can't die. Tony was kind and smart and charming, a good-hearted man. We were lucky to have him among us.

News of Tony's passing made me nauseous.  His lighting up a room upon entering was more than a metaphor; a room actually became brighter!  What a smile.

I wish I had had more times with him.

So sad to hear about Tony. Thoughts and prayers to the family. It seems we are aging very quickly as of late.

I agree with Russ. Tony's smile is something we all remember. It is impressive that he returned to BF and worked to make the community better.
