In Memory

Anthony Joseph Golmont, Jr.
December 4, 1943 – April 10, 2026
Anthony Golmont, Jr—Tony to all—82, originally from Beaver Falls, PA … passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. He was reunited in heaven with his father, Anthony Golmont, Sr, and his mother, Carol Golmont, and all those who preceded him in death.
Tony is survived by his daughters Kristan (Randy) Brown of Longwood, FL, and Michelle (Paul) Morris of Tampa, FL, and their mother, Maureen Piccinini Golmont of Altamonte Springs, FL; by his brother, Van (Patti) Golmont, Sr of Casselberry, FL, and his nephew, Van (Melanie) Golmont, Jr and great nephew, Patrick Levi Golmont of Orlando; and by his aunt, Rori (Rob) Sorg of Gibsonia, PA.
Brought up in Western Pennsylvania and having starred on Beaver Falls Senior High School’s team which won the state’s most powerful football conference, the WPIAL, wide receiver Tony caught passes from Joe Namath and was one of fourteen players on that team to receive football scholarships from excellent colleges with outstanding football programs.
Tony went off to North Carolina State where he excelled as a defensive back and received the Governor’s Award as the Best Defensive Back of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Tony then fulfilled his dream of playing in the National Football League, suiting up with the Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills, and St. Louis Cardinals. He also played in the CoFL (Continental Football League) for the Charleston Rockets, Philadelphia Bulldogs, and the Orlando Panthers.
Following his professional football career, Tony settled in Altamonte Springs, FL, with his family. When he wasn’t on the field playing flag football, softball, or golf with his Panther friends, he would explore the Florida waterways with his family, boating in his beloved vessel, “The Prowler”—fishing, water skiing, scuba diving, or with friends and families in a caravan of boats taking trips to the Bahamas.
Tony will be remembered by those who knew him, with his endless stories and devotion to his loved ones. He is survived by his family and lifelong friends. He leaves behind a legacy of strength and a profound love for life that will echo on in our hearts.
We will miss you FOREVER
