Judith Kay Glover Sabella, 69

Judith Kay (Glover) Sabella, 69, of New Brighton, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2013, in her home, after a very long and courageous battle with breast cancer, with her husband at her side.
Born September 19, 1943, in Holyoke, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Olson W. and Wilda O. (Rhodes) Glover. She was a proud graduate of the class of 1961 from Beaver Falls High School. Judy then attended the Beaver Valley School of Nursing and CCBC and became a registered nurse. She then worked for 30 years at the Aliquippa Community Hospital as a surgical nurse and retired as director of surgical services in 2008. She was a member of the National Association of Operating Room Nurses, Holy Family Catholic Church and the S.O.I. #1883, both of New Brighton. Judy was also a member of the USJCI Senate Education Foundation, a FRIENDSHIP member of the USJCI Senate and past member of the PA Jaycee's.
Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Joseph E. Sabella; her beloved son, Stephen Joseph Sabella, at home; two brothers, Robert Glover, Seattle, and Byron and his wife, Bobbi Glover, Tempe, AZ; a brother-in-law and his wife, Tony and Peggy Sabella, New Brighton; beloved nieces, nephews and their spouse, Gina (Randy) Priselac, Carla Sabella, Chuck Sabella, Pete (Denise) Sabella, John (Janine) Sabella, Joe (Kim) Sabella, Matthew Glover, Samuel Glover and their families.
In addition to her parents, preceded in death by two brothers, Olson "Skip" Glover and Mark Richard Glover.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where prayers will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in the Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Father Tom Kredel, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
