Raymond Eakin

Raymond J. Eakin, 69, of Patterson Twp., died Monday, November 12, 2012, at Friendship Ridge.

Born January 20, 1943, in Beaver Falls, he was the son of Catherine Enslen Eakin and the late George Eakin. A Marine Vietnam Veteran who obtained the rank of Corporal, Raymond was a retired steelworker from Republic Steel.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his wife, Marsha A. Harlan Eakin, in 1996.

Ray is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Paula and David Gerrich, New Brighton; a son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Stephanie Eakin, Chippewa Twp.; five grandchildren: Elise and Elena Gerrich, New Brighton; Jonah, Olivia and Ethan Kron, Chippewa Twp.; his mother, Catherine Eakin, Brighton Twp., and several nieces and nephews.

As per his wishes, there will be no public visitation and interment will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Washington County, at a later date.
