In Memory

Mary Wogan (Chiodo)

Mary Wogan (Chiodo)

Mary Elizabeth (Wogan) Chiodo, 68, formerly of Beaver Falls, passed away peacefully on St. Patrick’s Day at 10:45 a.m., 2014 in Heritage Valley Sewickley. She was surrounded by her family.

Mary was born in Beaver Falls on February 26, 1943, to the late Estelle and Raymond Wogan.

First and foremost, she was a beloved wife and best friend to her husband, Richard, whom she married on August 10, 1963. She was the wonderful mother of Richard of Moon Twp., Thomas of Cave Creek AZ., and Janey of Boca Raton, FL. She was also the very proud grandmother of Joey, Katie, Sarah, Michael, Rachel, Tommy, and Julia. In addition, she will also leave behind her beloved pets, Luke and Timber.

She was a person who made a difference in this world simply by the way she lived her life. She will be remembered for her class and dignity, and the kindness, compassion, and love she had, not only for her family and friends but for everyone who was fortunate to have known her. She loved all animals, especially her family dogs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas, Robert, and James; her mother and father-in-law, Jenny and Anthony Chiodo, and her devoted canine friends, Casey, Cinder, Calvin, and Wolfie.

Those of us who knew Mary realize that we have lost a treasure in our lives. The world was a better place when she was here and now she is gone.

A private service was held at the Copeland Funeral Home in Moon Township
