George Dave Carter, 79, formerly of Big Beaver, went to be with his lord on Sunday, August 21, 2022.

Dave was born on Sunday, March 15, 1943, in Ravenna, Ohio, and is the son of the late George and Margaret Carter.

G. David is a proud veteran of the Vietnam War who honorably served our country in the U.S. Army. He is a loyal member of the Beaver Falls American Legion.

G.Dave is an avid sports fan and if there was a Pirates game on TV, he watched it.

He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports and could be seen and heard cheering for them from the sideline.

Dave loved hunting, fly-fishing, and golfing with dear friends Jim, Richie, Jerry, and nephew, Bret.

G. David is the beloved husband of Nancy (Renn) Carter for 58 years. He is the cherished father of Brian (Jenelle) Carter, North Sewickley, and Christan McClinton, Beaver.

He is the proud grandfather of Marlana (Dean) Marlowe, Lauren McClinton, Austin (Victoria) McClinton, Chase Carter, and great-granddaughter, Sloane Marlowe.

G. David is also survived by his sisters, Linda McFadden & Beverly Williams, and his nephew, Bret Byers.

He will be dearly missed by his beloved dog, Jake.

G. David's request that there be no services will be honored.

The family would like to thank Dr. Sestito, the staff at Hospice of the Valley, and Nurse Flo, for taking great care of G. David in his final days.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of The Valley in Boardman, OH.

Dear Dave,

Until we meet again.

We will think about you always,

We talk about you still,

You have never been forgotten,

And you never will.

We hold you close within our hearts,

And there you will remain,

To walk and guide us through our lives,

Until we meet again.

Rest in peace,

George David Carter

David, family and friends,

My heart beats with yours in memory of David in his transition from mortal to spirit.

I remember David as a gentle, kind and handsome guy who for some reason unknown to me asked me

the prom. I doubt I would have gone otherwise. He was such a gentlemen I couldn't say no. Though many

moons have come and gone since I've seen David, I'm sure he remained the same kind, gentle man,

the kind of man that  remained true to his godly essence.

We all journey on different paths on our earthwalk. The good one's hold onto their essence, no matter life's challenges,

they keep their light shining bright as they make their way back home.

Blessed Be Your Journey David,

It is with great sadness I read of the passing of David, we had a good time laughing about High School memories at our last big reunion.  David had an amazing smile and humbleness.  He seemed very shocked to know both Debiie and myself had crushes on him in 11th grade, I mean he was so cute and always so polite.  He certainly had a good and blessed life, I know his family will all miss him but he will live on in their memories and in our memories..  May your new life in eternity be full of joy and peace.  You are dancing on those streets of gold.

One of the big plusses of traveling to BF for one of our reunions was the prospect of getting to talk to Dave.  All our conversations were good, spirit-boosting.  Very sad we’ve lost Dave.  All my best to Nancy and the rest of Dave's extended family.
