Wilbert L. 'Web' Huffman, 66, of Old Rt. 18 Wampum (New Beaver Boro) died on Sunday, June 21, 2009, at UPMC Montefiore following a short battle with lung cancer.

Born May 30, 1943, in Hoytdale, he was the son of the late Wilbert L. and Martha Elizabeth Stanyard Huffman.

Web formerly worked at Brighton Electric, Youngstown Sheet and Tube, and B & W. He retired from Ryan Homes. A member of the Wampum United Methodist Church, he was the former Youth Group Leader. He also attended the First Assembly of God Church in New Castle. Mr. Huffman was a former coach for Farm League and Little League Baseball. He was a former New Beaver Volunteer Fireman. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and spending quality time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Patricia Pollyblank Huffman; a son, Randall S. Huffman, Wampum; a daughter and son in law, Donna and Kenneth Stoddard Sr., Wampum; a sister, Helen Jane Tanner, Shenango Twp.; three brothers and sister in laws; Donald C. Huffman, Wisconsin, Robert E. and Linda Huffman, Ellwood City, David C. and Susan Huffman, Homewood; five grandchildren; Randy Huffman II, Rachel Huffman, Michael Plohr, Ashley Plohr, and Alyssa Huffman; and two great-grandchildren, Conner and Jayden Plohr.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24 at the MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME, Main Street, Wampum. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mike Wimer and Pastor Bill Blume officiating. Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
